IoT Business Hub and its Members to present the future of water management in Dubai

Zurich/Dubai – The Swiss IoT Business Hub is set to present a digital solution for the management of water networks together with its members at partners at GITEX 2022 in Dubai. This should allow the distribution network to be controlled and monitored, thereby generating efficiency gains and reducing leaks.

The members and partners of the IOT Business Hub, namely Hawido, Hawle Armaturen, Miromico, Tesenso, HSLU, and Loriot, are showcasing a jointly developed digital water management solution at GITEX 2022 in Dubai, one of the largest tech events in the world. The solution aims to combat water scarcity in times of urbanization and climate change.

To achieve this, they have developed a digitally controlled valve equipped with sensors and actuators. This should make it possible to control and monitor water distribution networks in order to improve their efficiency while reducing leaks.

“The future of water management is digital and Hawle Armaturen is in the process of developing sustainable technologies that allow the flow of freshwater in large water distribution networks to be measured and regulated”, comments Saim Arslan, Head of Innovation at Hawle Armaturen, in a press release.

Miromico contributes novel wireless communication technologies to connect, monitor and control essential nodes in the Internet of Things (IoT). According to Miromico CEO Schekeb Fateh, this technology offers “big potential to digitize well-established businesses”.

GITEX is taking place October 10-14th 2022 in Dubai. The event organizers are expecting around 100,000 visitors plus exhibitors.
